Jeremy D. Meeks is currently a graduate assistant at Towson University where he is pursuing graduate studies in trumpet performance. As an undergraduate at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Performance Certificate in Trumpet. He is also a graduate of the famed Baltimore School for the Arts. A former public school educator, Mr. Meeks is currently on the teaching staff of Towson University and maintains successful private teaching studios in Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Meeks has performed in several diverse venues including the Lyric Opera House, the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall-England, Blues Alley, HR57, Visions Cinema, and numerous clubs


throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

As a classical musician, this young trumpeter is called regularly to perform several recitals and concerts each year and has proven himself an equally great performer in all styles from Classical to Jazz, Latin to Funk, and Rock to Hip-Hop. Some of his most recent performances have been with organizations such as the Baltimore Symphony, the Annapolis Symphony, the Maryland Symphony, the Gettysburg Symphony, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Michael Kline, Marylou and the Untouchables, the Blues Alley Big Band, and the Washginton Jazz Orchestra. His trumpet studies were with Phil Snedecor, Ed Hoffman, and Wayne Cameron.
